“It is important to carry forward the digitalisation of the Electronic Health Record, the health data ecosystem, telemedicine, the use of artificial intelligence: these are topics on which we are working as the Department of Digital Transformation together with the Ministry of Health so that this can be done an effective prevention activity, and also intervene in the event of pandemics with the appropriate tools” adds Borrelli, during the “Winter School” interview by Motore Sanità held in Cernobbio on 8 February (Askanews).

Borrelli further underlines his point of view, noting that, coming from the Civil Protection, he believes that prevention activity is the first and most important action to be undertaken.

He also underlined the importance of investing in prevention, stating that to prevent effectively it is necessary to have in-depth knowledge of situations and the appropriate tools to prevent events and limit damage.

This reinforces the idea that prevention, supported by digital innovation in the healthcare sector, is fundamental to ensuring the safety and well-being of the population.
